Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA) joins AMEA
AMEA is delighted to welcome CNFA in its Alliance as its newest Development Partner.
CNFA is an international non-for-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. and Brussels. The organization works towards building customized partnerships with businesses, foundations, governments and communities that meet the world’s growing demand for food. CNFA designs and implements enterprise-based, agricultural development initiatives to facilitate market access, enhance agribusiness competitiveness, increase productivity and improve access to inputs and credit across 44 countries worldwide.
Sylvain Roy, President and CEO of CNFA commented that “AMEA’s mission closely conforms with CNFA’s approach to improving the livelihood of farmers through partnerships, collaboration and knowledge sharing—and strongly supports our work in developing inclusive and competitive agricultural value chains. CNFA looks forward to sharing our expertise and resources in agribusiness development with other members of the AMEA alliance, and furthering our common goal of improving the ability of all market participants to prosper through greater productivity and market access.”
Launched in 2016, the AMEA Alliance brings together private and public firms and international organizations with the aim to standardize the development of professional farmer organizations by sharing knowledge, experience and best practices, and by offering best-in-class assessment tools, training materials and a directory of certified service providers (assessors, trainers and coaches) that meet the global standard definition for professional farmer organizations and improve the business and management skills of farmer organizations in an effective, cost-efficient and scalable way.
As AMEA, we are very much looking forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with CNFA!
