"I'm keen to create a network of members with enthusiasm and interest to complement and support each other towards creating stronger farmer organizations. I believe that this positive energy will inspire smallholder farmers and change the negative narrative around access to finance that has hindered farmers from exploiting the massive resources around them to create flourishing families and communities."
Merciline Oyier holds a Bsc in Biochemistry/Chemistry, Executive Masters in Business Administration and she is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP - PMI ).
Merciline is currently the Business Development Officer for Cordaid in Kenya. in the lead-up to this, Merciline worked with Cordaid for 10 years in different roles, including Programme Management in Kenya and Horn of Africa Region.
Before joining Cordaid, Merciline worked for Care International in Kenya implementing the Village Savings and Loans Associations concept to enhance access to finance for commercialised Agriculture in Kenya. Other themes in her work experience include Health, Gender, Governance and Climate Resilience.
