AMEA is looking for a visual communications Intern

The Agribusiness Market Ecosystem Alliance (AMEA) is a young, rapidly growing and dynamic alliance that aims to advance professional farmer organizations. We believe that professional farmer organizations are key for poverty alleviation and food security, and we view farming as a business - smallholder farmers need to become part of farmer organizations to survive and flourish as a business. We aim to achieve our vision by building and implementing a standardized approach to develop professional farmer organizations who are reliable partners in  supply chains, for buyers and financial institutions.

Location:                      Amsterdam, Nederland (a cozy office in the heart of the city)

Type:                            Remunerated internship (32 - 40 hrs a week, 600 euro p/m gross)

Contract of service:      Minimum 6 months

Period:                          Start as soon as possible

Education:                    BA or MA

Opportunity:                 Support and improve the visual communication of an international development social enterprise in the                                                  agricultural sector



  •       Design and improve AMEA visual communication materials

  •       Assist with marketing and communication messages to a wide network and the AMEA alliance;

  •       Support the distribution of AMEA messages on social media and website;

  •       Assist in the development of AMEA promotion materials, e.g. brochures/slides;

  •        Support the creation of materials for business development;

  •       Support communication with R&D Working Groups;

  •       Support creation of marketing communication materials for AMEA local networks;

  •       Support AMEA internal activities;

  •       Other activities as required.


Your profile

  •       Marketing/communications or any other degree accompanied by a strong interest in marketing/communications;

  •       Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc.);

  •       Familiarity with agricultural supply chains is preferred;

  •       Relevant experience in an office environment is preferable;

  •       Experience with CRM software (Hubspot) is preferable;

  •       Solid English (required), Dutch and French (both not required but preferable) communication and language skills;

  •       Excellent English writing skills;

  •       Excellent communication and social skills;

  •       Organizational skills and the ability to work independently;

  •       Hands-on attitude and willing to help out flexibly if required.
